"Bloom
Where You are Planted" is a semi-annual
newcomers' orientation program for English speakers of all
nationalities and affiliations.
"Bloom While You Work"
is a one-day program to shed some light on the cultural differences in
both work and daily life, to improve your awareness and understanding of
French culture.

During the
first two Tuesdays in October you are invited to attend a
two-day program covering such subjects as: adapting to change, accessing
healthcare, cultural information and activities, tips for daily living,
community involvement, children's activities, and enjoying France
through food, travel, and fashion.
Each day features a
different program of speakers and workshops, ending with a wine
reception on the second day. (Childcare is available.)

Where You’re Planted may include doctors, psychologists, tour
guides, experienced expatriates, and shopping experts.

Both seminars held at the American Church in Paris, 65 Quai d’Orsay,
75007 Paris. Registration fees include lunch, and Bloom Book – the
definitive English speaker’s guide-book to living in France with over

Church. Pre-registration for the two-day event is 50 euros, 55 euros at the door. This
includes the "invaluable" Bloom book (revised each year) and lunch.

BLOOM While You Work in

Bloom while you work
is a one-day program held in October for people new to France and
working in the French environment. Topics will include
inter-cultural issues, business communication in France, and the French
business environment, as well as outside of work issues such as
healthcare, sports, and social life. The day ends with a wine
reception where participants make new friends and connections.
The program "Sheds light about the cultural differences in both work
and daily life...."
The one-day program runs for one Saturday in October from
9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Pre-registration is 40 euros, 45 euros at the door and
includes lunch and the Bloom book (couples are 45/55 euros). Visit
