Family Visits

The Paris Tourist Office came out with many suggestions for "Family visits" in Paris.

I am reprinting their article on the subject with their suggestions:

There are a large number of Parisian museums for both children and adults.

Little girls adore the glass showcases of the Musée de la Poupée (doll museum) (over 400 dolls from 1800 to the present day in delightful settings) while little boys will be thrilled by model boats at the Musée de la Marine.

The Musée de la Magie, the Musée Grévin (with its wax figures) and the Musée en Herbe (exhibitions-games on artistic, scientific and civic themes, especially designed for families) provide a fun-filled time with an educational aspect.

Finally, the national museums offer thematic visits designed for children, (together with the Musée des Arts et Métiers, the Palais de la Découverte and the Cité des sciences et de l’Industrie, the Cité de la musique, the aquarium at the Palais de la Porte Dorée, and the Petit Palais or Musée des Beaux-Arts of the Ville de Paris. Then, there is the Grande Galerie de l’Evolution, at the Museum national d’histoire Naturelle, which exhibits thousands of animal species, recounting the incredible history of the planet and the diversity of species on earth and in the sea.
