Seeing Green In The Metro? It Is The RATP!

The RATP has a tourist welcoming program until August 31. The program works in conjunction with the Paris Tourist office and the City of Paris.
If you need “Information”, one of the 200 green-jacketed, multi-lingual individuals in either select metro or the RER stations can help you.
It will take a few mouse clicks to get the Tourist Web page. Visit the RATP Web site, click on the big words “Touristes, nos gilets…”, which opens to a French page (in case all tourists speak French, I guess). Scroll down below the video (which is also in French! What is RATP thinking!?).
Be sure to check out their Tourist information page (click on the British flag medallion) in the upper right hand corner for specific and helpful information on how to get around Paris, how to use the metro and RER, and finally about the Information Stands over the summer.
If you have questions about whether to use the OpenTour bus or the Big Red Bus (Les Cars Rouges), visit their Web pages. See which one has the most bus stops of where you want to go.
