Paris Cinema Festival from Lost in Frenchlation

This is a summer invitation for the event La Chaise et l’Écran cinema festival “cinéma dans nos rues” (on the Paris streets) from Manon at “Lost in Frenchlation“.

Here’s hoping for a warm Friday, August 19, 12 Place Léon Blum, Paris 75011 (metro: Voltaire – line 9). Although walking distance from my apartment, my feet will be walking in Washington DC that night.

Lost in Frenchlation screens current French films throughout the year. Here is your chance to enjoy French culture in the open air for free with seating provided; another opportunity to watch French films with English translations. Enjoy!

Lost in Frenchlation is proud to be working together with La Mairie du 11ème (mayor’s office in the eleventh district/arrondissement) to bring you a free outdoor screening of three French short films with English subtitles as part of the highly anticipated 9^th annual La Chaise et l’Écran cinema festival! The short films will be followed by the classic feature length film ‘L’Aventure c’est l’Aventure’ from Claude Lelouch which unfortunately will not be subtitled, but will be a worthy challenge for those of you looking to test your French.

The event will take place within La Mairie du 11ème’s courtyard (metro: Voltaire – line 9). An amazing outdoor location under the stars and seats are provided free of charge.

Le 19 août prochain, Lost in Frenchlation vous propose, en partenariat avec le festival de cinéma en plein air “La Chaise et l’écran” organisé par la Mairie du 11ème, une selection de courts métrages français sous-titrés en anglais. Cette projection gratuite aura lieu à 21h dans la cour de la mairie du 11ème. Elle sera suivie par la projection – non sous-titrée cette fois-ci – de ‘L’Aventure c’est l’Aventure’ de Claude Lelouch, qui peut être une bonne manière pour ceux qui le souhaitent de tester leur français!

Les trois courts-métrages qui seront présentés sont :

1. ‘Et après’ from Marc Ory (13 mins)
2. ‘L’âge de raison’ from Mathilde Petit (16 mins)
3. ‘Pa Fuera’ from Vica Zagreba (17 mins)

L’évènement aura lieu dès la nuit tombée, à partir de 21h… L’écran vient à vous, et les chaises seront exceptionnellement fournies par la Mairie.
